What Does a No-Cost Micro Market Mean?

No-cost placement describes an operating arrangement. It does not mean every location qualifies or that the products are free.

Separate placement from purchases

With a qualifying managed placement, the operator supplies the agreed equipment and handles stocking and service. Customers pay for their selected products. An employer subsidy, complimentary-product program or revenue share is a separate arrangement that should be written clearly.

Know what the property provides

Discuss the space, electrical supply, access and connectivity before installation. Those responsibilities can involve a property’s own time or costs even when it does not buy the equipment. If electrical work or other preparation is needed, establish who approves and pays for it before work begins.

Qualification is more than a headcount

A payroll count does not tell you how many people will pass the market each day. Daily attendance, shifts, access, nearby alternatives and expected purchases matter. A compact format may fit better than an open market, and some locations may not support a managed placement.

Make the agreement understandable

Review the term, installation responsibilities, service arrangement, any revenue-share eligibility and the process if the location underperforms. Do not assume a competitor’s employee threshold or commission applies to your proposal. The approved agreement controls.

What to bring to a review

Estimate actual daily users, note the hours and identify a possible space. If replacing a vendor, bring the existing agreement and ownership information. The site-review planner can turn these details into a printable checklist.
